Cumnock is a tranquil rural village located about 4 hours west of Sydney and 45 mins north of Orange. Cumnock is centrally located between the wineries, the Dubbo Zoo, Parkes Radio Telescope, Lake Burrendong, Wellington Caves. and the Angora Rabbit Farm at Yeoval. Cumnock has a population of 295 with popular facilities: the public swimming pool, tennis courts, Bowling Green, golf course, squash court, bike tracks, cricket and football oval, showground and pony club. The Playgroup, Pre-school , Family daycare, Public School, Thrifty Link General store, Cumnock cafe, Bowling club, and Royal Hotel.

There are 4 old farmhouses that need some tender loving care which includes painting, building repair and other maintenance. The ideal tenant would have renovation experience, have children to attend the local schools, ready for a "tree-change" and be willing to contribute to our small friendly rural community. The offer of $1 a week rent is available for 2-3 years. Applications close Monday 3rd November 2008.
